NT121B / NT121A Inline LED Controller can dim any 5-24V DC LED product from 12%-100% using Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) circuit push button control from stepped intensity adjustment. Controls 9 dynamic flashing modes with 10 adjustable speeds. Maximum load is 5 Amps – holding Speed/Bright button turns LEDs ON/OFF. Retains last setting when power is cycled.

Operating Manual

  • 1. Power Input
    Install positive power cable into the terminal marked with '+' and negative power cable into the terminal marked with '-'. The two positive jacks are connected inside the Controller and same for the negative jacks. The Controller can accept DC power from 5V to 24V, the output voltage is the same as the power supply, so please make sure the LED rated voltage is same as the power supply.
  • 2. LED Output
    Connect LED Strip to this terminal. Install positive LED load cable into the terminal marked with '+' and negative cable into the terminal marked with '-'. The two positive jacks are connected inside the Controller and so does the negative jacks. Please make sure the LED rated voltage is same as the power supply and the maximum load current is lower than controller's rated current. The Controller will run into protection if the output is overloaded or short circuited. The indicator will flash red color and stop working in this case. Please check the wiring and load current to remove the fault.
  • 3. Turn ON/ OFF
    Press 'I' key to turn on Controller or press 'O' key to turn off. Controller will memorize the on/off status and will restore to the previous status on next power on. Please use remote to turn on the unit if it was switched to off status before previous power cut.
  • 4. Brightness Control
    Press '+' key to increase brightness and press '-' key to decrease. The brightness will change smoothly when hold pressing these two keys. The Controller applies brightness gamma correction on dimming control, makes the brightness turning smoother to human sense.
  • 5. Brightness Shortcut Keys
    These keys are shortcuts to fixed brightness. Press each key to jump to the relevant brightness level. The Controller applies brightness gamma correction on dimming, the brightness level is valued to human sense, and not proportional to the LED output power.
  • 6. Remote Indicator
    This indicator blinks when remote works. The indicator will flash slowly if the battery is empty, please change the remote battery in this case. The battery model is CR2032 lithium cell.
  • 7. Using the Remote
    Please pull out the battery insulate tape before using. The RF wireless remote signal can pass through some nonmetal barrier. For proper receiving remote signal, please do not install the Controller in closed metal parts.
  • 8. Pairing a new remote
    The remote and controller is 1 to 1 paired for factory defalut. It's possible to pair maximum 5 remotes to one Controller and each remote could be paired to any Controller.

    You could pair a new remote to Controller by following steps:

    1) Plug off the power of Controller and plug in again after more than 5 seconds.
    2) Press '100%' and '60%' key simultaneously for about 3 seconds, in time of 10 seconds after the Controller powered on.

    In some cases, one Controller might be paired with several remote but extra remotes are no longer needed. User could simply pair the current using remote to Controller again, then the Controller will dis-pair all other remotes and recognize current one only.
  • 9. Protection
    The Controller has full protection function for wrong wiring, output short circuit, overload and overheat. The Controller will protect itself from damage at these extreme conditions and could automatically recover when working condition is good. To avoid the protection, please ensure the LED Strip are capable for constant voltage driving and in rated range, the cables are well connected and insulated. Please also install the Controller with good ventilation and heat dissipation condition.
  • 10. Woprk Statue Indicator
    This indicator displays all working status of the Controller. It shows different events as following:

  • 1. Mode
    'Mode' button enters dynamic flashing patterns. Press 'Mode' to cycle through the 9 different patterns.
  • 2. Speed / Brightness Control & Power
    Press 'Speed/Bright' button to incrementally dim 10 steps and return to full brightness. Pressing 'Speed/Bright' button will incrementally decrease speed 10 steps and return to fastest speed.
    Hold 'Speed/Bright' button to turn LEDs ON/OFF.
  • 3. Light
    Press 'Lights' button to activate static mode.
  • 4. Power Supply Wiring
    The main unit can work at DC 5V to 24V power supply. The red cable (or inner pole of DC jack) should be connected to positive and black cable (or outer pole of DC jack) to negative. Make sure the power supply voltage matches the LED strip requirement, incorrect voltage may damage strip.
  • 5. LED Output Wiring
    The red cable (or inner pole of DC plug) should be connected to LED positive and black cable (or sleeve pole of DC plug) to negative. Use LC2 male connector on controller to plug in female LC2 connector on LED strip. The peak output current is 12 amperes and maximum constant current is 6 amperes, please reduce load if main unit is overheating.

    CAUTION! Do not short circuit or overload the LED outputs, this may lead to permanent damage!
